Stored XSS via unsanitized Hero Carousel spacing fields
Published Sep 13, 2024 · Updated Sep 13, 2024
Stored XSS in Carousel Slider before 2.2.4 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts when an administrator views a slider. The Hero Carousel slide editor stores the Spacing/Gutter and Description of Spacing/Gutter values without sanitizing and escaping injected event-handler markup. Editor-level access is sufficient even when unfiltered_html is disabled, and execution requires an administrator to interact with the rendered slider.
