CVE-2024-6845Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated OpenAI API key disclosure via REST endpoint

Published Sep 25, 2024 · Updated Sep 25, 2024

Missing authorization in Webdigit Chatbot with ChatGPT WordPress before 2.4.6 allows remote attackers to read the configured OpenAI API key. The wdgpt/v1/api-key REST endpoint returns the configured key without authorization, and the returned value uses reversible ROT13 encoding. No authentication or user interaction is required, and exposure enables use of the site's OpenAI account within the key's permissions.
