CVE-2024-6838Network attack vector

UI denial of service via unbounded experiment names

Published Mar 20, 2025 · Updated Mar 20, 2025

Uncontrolled resource consumption in MLflow 2.13.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to make the tracking UI unresponsive. Experiment creation and rename paths accept names containing arbitrarily many integers, while creation also accepts an unbounded artifact_location value. A network-reachable tracking server must accept a crafted experiment operation; the oversized metadata can hang UI rendering without reported data disclosure or modification.
