CVE-2024-6835Network attack vector

Password-protected post disclosure via unchecked AJAX results

Published Sep 5, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026

Information exposure in Ivory Search 5.5.6 and earlier allows remote attackers to extract text from password-protected posts via AJAX search. The ajax_load_posts handler renders matching post content into live-search results without checking whether WordPress still requires the post password. No authentication or user interaction is required; disclosure is limited to text recoverable through repeated boolean search queries.
