Administrator-level stored XSS via unescaped quiz content
Published Feb 26, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Quiz Organizer 2.9.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users with administrator access to inject scripts. Quiz modification handlers store administrator-supplied content without sufficient sanitization, and the shortcode renderer outputs that content without appropriate escaping. Exploitation requires a multisite installation or disabled unfiltered_html; the stored script executes when a user opens an injected page.
