XML signature wrapping in affected GitHub Enterprise Server 3.10 through 3.13 releases allows remote attackers to gain site-administrator access. The SAML SSO path associates a valid XML signature with attacker-controlled assertion content, causing a forged response to be trusted. Exposure requires direct network access and SAML SSO with specific identity providers that use publicly exposed signed federation metadata XML.
