CVE-2024-6785

Credential disclosure via cleartext configuration storage

Published Sep 21, 2024 · Updated Sep 26, 2024

Cleartext storage in Moxa MXview One Series 1.3.0 and earlier and Central Manager 1.0.0 allows local users to read credentials. A configuration file writes service credentials without encryption or another protection against direct file reads. Low-privilege local access is required; exposed credentials enable unauthorized use of the associated service, while no remote exploit is reported.
