Authenticated private-post disclosure via unchecked alt fallback
Published Oct 15, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Information exposure in Elementor Website Builder 3.24.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read protected post metadata. The get_image_alt function falls back to a referenced post's excerpt or title without first checking whether the caller may read private or password-protected content. Contributor-level access is sufficient, and the disclosed data is limited to those excerpt and title values.
