CVE-2024-6747Network attack vector

Secret disclosure via unfiltered notification results

Published Oct 10, 2024 · Updated Oct 10, 2024

Information exposure in Checkmk mknotifyd allows remote attackers to obtain passwords and other secrets from notification result messages. When mknotifyd receives a notification context, it returns a result message to the originating remote site without removing passwords and other secrets. Remote attackers need control of a connected remote site to retrieve those values; affected releases are before 2.3.0p18, before 2.2.0p36, before 2.1.0p49, and 2.0.0 through 2.0.0p39.
