Authenticated database disclosure via unsanitized employee ID
Published Jul 15, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
SQL injection in SourceCodester Employee and Visitor Gate Pass Logging System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read database data. The employee detail handler in Master.php places the controllable id value from view_employee.php directly into an SQL statement without restrictions. A valid admin-panel session is required, and the published proof of concept demonstrates database-name extraction through the vulnerable request.
