Poll answer deletion via nonce-free GET request
Published Aug 6, 2024 · Updated Oct 28, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in Light Poll 1.0.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to delete poll answers through an administrator's browser. The poll_settings remove_answer task accepts poll and answer identifiers in a state-changing GET request without a CSRF nonce check. Exploitation requires a logged-in site administrator to open a crafted link, after which the selected poll answer is deleted.
