Stored XSS via unescaped admin-setting parameters
Published May 15, 2025 · Updated May 20, 2025
Stored XSS in Cozmoslabs Profile Builder before 3.12.2 allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through admin settings. The settings form stores row-default-option-country, row-default-option-timezone, and row-default-option-currency without sanitization, then renders their content in the admin area without output escaping. Administrator access is required, and exploitation is limited to WordPress multisite installations or sites where unfiltered_html is disabled; opening the affected page executes the stored script.
