Local privilege escalation through writable PATH
Published Jul 12, 2024 · Updated Mar 25, 2025
Improper privilege management in Citrix uberAgent before 7.2.1 allows local users to escalate privileges through the system PATH. Citrix does not identify the executable or loading operation, but states that exposure requires a user-writable directory in the system PATH. A low-privileged local user can reach the flaw only when that unsafe PATH configuration is present, and successful exploitation grants elevated access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
