Administrator stored XSS via unescaped YouTube API setting
Published May 15, 2025 · Updated May 17, 2025
Stored XSS in Optimal Access KBucket before 4.1.6 allows remote authenticated users with administrator privileges to inject scripts. The plugin saves and renders the YouTube API setting without sanitizing its submitted value or escaping it for HTML output. An administrator can exploit it even when unfiltered_html is disabled, such as on WordPress multisite, and the script runs when another user views the affected output.
