CVE-2024-6660Network attack vector

Subscriber-level RCE via unrestricted import uploads

Published Jul 17, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026

Missing authorization in Repute InfoSystems BookingPress 1.1.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP code via import requests. The bookingpress_import_data_continue_process_func AJAX handler accepts a frontend-accessible nonce without a capability check, passes attacker-chosen option names and values to update_option, and uploads PHP files without type or extension validation. Subscriber-level access is sufficient to enable registration with the administrator default role or place executable PHP in the public uploads directory, leading to complete site compromise.
