Hard-coded credentials in Fortra FileCatalyst Workflow 5.0.4 through 5.1.6.139 allow remote attackers to read, change, or delete HSQLDB data. The setup configuration retains a shared HSQLDB username and password that Fortra published in its knowledgebase instead of requiring unique credentials. Exploitation requires the deprecated bundled HSQLDB to remain configured and reachable; successful access permits direct database compromise.
