Stored XSS via unescaped login title setting
Published Jul 12, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in WP Total Branding 1.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through administrator settings. The login-title setting stores attacker-controlled markup without sufficient sanitization, and the login module renders the value without output escaping. Administrator-level access is required, and the issue is reachable only on multisite installations or where unfiltered_html is disabled; the script executes when a user opens the affected page.
