CVE-2024-6614Network attack vector

Incorrect stack traces via stale bailout data

Published Jul 9, 2024 · Updated Oct 30, 2025

Improper frame iteration in Mozilla Firefox and Thunderbird before 128 allows remote attackers to generate incorrect stack traces via Wasm. SavedStacks continues using bailout data after Wasm frame iteration, so direct Ion-to-Wasm calls appear as generic exit frames and can trap the iterator in a loop. A user must process attacker-controlled Wasm in a browser or browser-like context; ordinary Thunderbird email reading disables scripting.
