CVE-2024-6580Network attack vector

File access and network requests via SSH keys

Published Jul 8, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024

Path injection in /n software IPWorks SSH SFTPServer 22.x before 22.0.8945 and 24.x before 24.0.8945 allows remote authenticated users to read files. While loading an attacker-supplied SSH public key or certificate, the component permits filesystem and network path requests instead of blocking them. The condition is reachable only after the embedding application accepts the remote user's credentials without verifying the supplied key or certificate.
