Credential interception via unchecked SSH host keys

Improper SSH host-key checking in affected Checkmk releases allows man-in-the-middle attackers to intercept monitoring traffic. The Check SFTP Service active check and VNX quotas and filesystems special agent establish SSH connections without properly validating the server host key. An attacker must occupy a machine-in-the-middle position; successful interception exposes connection data, including passwords, and permits manipulation of downstream SSH traffic.
