Stored script execution via unneutralized user field
Published Jul 5, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in ZKTeco BioTime 9.5.0 through 9.5.2 allows remote authenticated users to inject script via the user field. The system-group-add handler fails to neutralize the user argument before rendering it as web content, causing supplied script to execute in a browser. Exploitation requires low-privileged access and a user to view the affected page, enabling script execution in that viewer's browser context.
