Contributor-level Mailchimp API key replacement via unchecked AJAX
Published Jul 20, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in Getwid – Gutenberg Blocks 2.0.10 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to replace the Mailchimp API key. The mailchimp_api_key_manage AJAX handler writes the submitted key without checking whether the caller has an administrative capability. Contributor-level access is sufficient to alter the integration credential, affecting configuration integrity without exposing or deleting data.
