Slider deletion via unchecked administrative request
Published Jul 26, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
CSRF in Averta Master Slider – Responsive Touch Slider 3.9.10 and earlier allows remote attackers to delete sliders through an administrator's browser. The deletion action at wp-admin/admin.php accepts page=master-slider, action=delete, and slider_id parameters without a CSRF check. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to load attacker-controlled content, after which the chosen slider is deleted.
