Stored XSS via unescaped date-prefix settings
Published Aug 8, 2024 · Updated Aug 8, 2024
Stored XSS in Code Amp Search & Filter Pro before 2.5.18 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through admin settings. The From Prefix and To Prefix fields for Post Date search-form elements store an attribute-breaking payload and render it in the search administration page without sanitization or output escaping. Administrator access and interaction with the saved field are required, and the flaw bypasses the protection expected when unfiltered_html is disabled.
