Unauthenticated PHP execution via component path traversal
Published Aug 16, 2024 · Updated Sep 13, 2024
Local file inclusion in Tradedoubler Grow 2.0.21 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute server-side PHP via component. The unauthenticated tm_load_data AJAX action accepts path traversal in component and includes the resolved local file as PHP without restricting it to an allowed directory. The attacker must first place or identify a PHP file on the WordPress host; inclusion executes that file with the web server process privileges.
