CVE-2024-6440Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated SQL injection via delete_category id

Published Jul 2, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024

SQL injection in SourceCodester Home Owners Collection Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to alter database queries. The delete_category action in /classes/Master.php inserts the POST id value into a database statement without neutralizing SQL syntax, enabling an error-based updatexml payload. A valid management session and access to category deletion are required; successful injection can disclose database values and alter or delete records available to the application's database account.
