Authenticated data disclosure via orderBy SQL injection
Published Jul 2, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
SQL injection in Hitout Carsale 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read sensitive database data through the orderBy parameter. The published request places attacker-controlled SQL syntax in orderBy, which the order-list query processes as a sort expression instead of a fixed field-and-direction choice. A valid application session is required, and successful exploitation exposes data available to the Carsale database account.
