Traffic-policy bypass via CPU slow-path forwarding

Access-control bypass in affected Arista EOS releases allows remote attackers to evade next-hop redirects using crafted IPv4 packets. Packets trapped to the CPU, including IPv4 traffic with IP options, are slow-path forwarded by the kernel according to the FIB instead of the configured PBR, BGP Flowspec, or interface-policy destination. Exploitation requires an affected hardware platform with one redirect feature configured and disrupts intended forwarding without reported data disclosure or modification.
