Privilege escalation in Rockwell Automation Pavilion8 allows remote authenticated users to access administrative functions over the network. Rockwell Automation has not disclosed the affected permission check or code locus; basic-privilege accounts receive access to functions reserved for administrators. Exploitation requires a valid basic account and permits sensitive-data access and creation of elevated users.
