Database query delay via unsanitized cid parameter
Published Jun 30, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
SQL injection in SeaCMS 12.9 allows remote authenticated users to delay database queries through cid in the dmku edit endpoint. The handler incorporates cid into an SQL statement without neutralizing SQL syntax, allowing a nested SELECT containing SLEEP to execute. Low-privileged endpoint access is required; the published proof of concept demonstrates controlled query delay rather than data disclosure.
