Administrator-triggered bulk deletion via missing nonce validation
Published Jul 31, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
CSRF in HTML Forms before 1.3.34 allows remote attackers to delete forms by inducing a logged-in administrator to submit a forged request. process_bulk_action() accepts attacker-supplied forms[] identifiers and a trash bulk action without validating a WordPress nonce. Exploitation requires administrator interaction, and the demonstrated consequence is deletion of selected forms rather than broader site compromise.
