Information disclosure in affected GitLab 17.x versions allows remote authenticated users to read commit data through a release Atom feed. The release Atom endpoint returns commit information to Guest-role accounts despite project permissions that should prevent that access. A network-reachable instance, a guest account, and access to a project with releases are required; the reported consequence is commit-data disclosure without modification or service interruption.
