Browser script execution via unneutralized bulletin body
Published Jun 27, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in LabVantage LIMS 2017 allows remote authenticated users to inject script through a crafted bulletin. The sendbulletin.jsp POST handler places attacker-controlled bulletinbody content into a generated bulletin page without neutralizing script-capable markup. A valid low-privilege session and later user interaction are required, and exploitation changes rendered content and runs script in the viewer's browser.
