Authenticated script execution via unneutralized param1 reflection
Published Jun 27, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Reflected XSS in the POST request handler of LabVantage LIMS 2017 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in a user's browser. The /labvantage/rc?command=page endpoint returns attacker-controlled param1 content in a generated page without neutralizing script syntax. Exploitation requires low-privilege access and victim interaction, and the script runs in the trusted LIMS origin with the victim's session permissions.
