Execute-permission bypass via PAM dashboard
Published Jun 26, 2024 · Updated Mar 13, 2025
Access control in Devolutions Remote Desktop Manager 2024.2.11 and earlier on Windows allows remote authenticated users to bypass execute permission. The PAM dashboard path omits the client-side execute-permission restriction applied to protected resources, allowing a restricted resource to be opened. Access requires authentication and existing access to the resource; the bypass exposes no credentials beyond those already available to the account.
