Security-control bypass via predictable UDS seeds

Insufficiently random UDS seeds in the 2022 Nissan Altima blind-spot sensor ECU allow adjacent attackers to bypass security access. The ECU security-access mechanism produces predictable challenge seeds after repeated resets and seed requests, enabling precomputation of the corresponding access keys. Access to adjacent vehicle diagnostic communications is required, and the documented consequence is unauthorized access to protected ECU functions rather than code execution.
