Browser script execution via improperly escaped search parameters
Published Aug 21, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Reflected XSS in Averta Phlox Pro 5.16.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to run scripts in a user's browser via search parameters. In search-advanced.php, GET search values receive HTML escaping during query construction instead of sanitization at input and escaping for the eventual output context. Exploitation requires a user to follow a crafted link; the script then runs in that site's browser context and can read or modify page data available to that user.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
