CVE-2024-6333Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated root command execution via tcpdump filter

Published Oct 17, 2024 · Updated Sep 17, 2025

OS command injection in Xerox printer network troubleshooting allows remote authenticated users to execute commands as root. The web interface inserts the administrator-supplied IPv4 address into a privileged tcpdump command without adequately neutralizing shell syntax. Administrative web access is required; starting a troubleshooting session runs the injected command with root privileges and can fully compromise the device.
