Arbitrary file deletion via missing nonce validation
Published Jul 9, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in ZealousWeb Generate PDF using Contact Form 7 4.1.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to delete files. The wp_cf7_pdf_dashboard_html_page function omits nonce validation and passes an unvalidated file path into file-deletion logic. Exploitation requires an administrator to follow a crafted link or take an equivalent action; deleting wp-config.php interrupts site operation and exposes the site to takeover and remote code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=0 <=4.0.6
