CVE-2024-6313Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated arbitrary file upload via attacker-defined types

Published Jul 9, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026

Arbitrary file upload in Gutenberg Forms 2.2.9 and earlier allows remote attackers to place attacker-chosen files on WordPress servers. The upload function accepts allowed file types from a form submission instead of enforcing a server-controlled restriction before storing the file. No authentication or user interaction is required; remote code execution follows when the host executes an uploaded server-side file.
