CVE-2024-6295

Session hijacking via plaintext local database

Published Jun 25, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024

Insecure data storage in udn News before 4.20.1 allows physically proximate attackers to steal an authenticated session. The Android app writes the user session without encryption to its local database, leaving the reusable token readable from device storage. A malicious app with sufficient access or physical access to the device is required, and the stolen session grants access to the news app and other udn services.
