Event deletion via unvalidated GET request
Published Jul 22, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in Community Events before 1.5 allows remote attackers to delete arbitrary events through an administrator's session. The administrative events endpoint treats a GET deleteevent parameter as an instruction to remove the referenced event without performing CSRF validation. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to open the crafted URL, and the bounded consequence is deletion of selected events.
