Stored script execution via unescaped stylesheet settings
Published Aug 5, 2024 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Stored XSS in Community Events before 1.5.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute script through stylesheet settings. The stylesheet settings page stores a crafted textarea-closing payload without sanitizing it and renders the value without output escaping. Administrator-level access is required to store the payload, and execution occurs when the settings page is viewed even where unfiltered_html is disabled.
