CVE-2024-6245

Adjacent SSH access via default credentials

Published Oct 28, 2024 · Updated Nov 7, 2024

Use of default credentials in SmartPlay 66T0.05.50 allows attackers on an adjacent network to access the infotainment head unit through SSH. The SSH service accepts default username-and-password combinations rather than credentials unique to the affected unit. Reachability requires adjacent-network access, low privileges, and user interaction; public sources disclose neither the credential values nor post-login authorization.
