Admin-session script execution via unescaped id parameter
Published Jul 30, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Reflected XSS in A17Lab WpStickyBar 2.1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject browser scripts through a crafted admin URL. The wpstickybars edit page reflects the id query parameter into its response without sanitizing the input or escaping the output. The attack requires a high-privilege user to open the crafted link, after which the script executes in the site's origin with that user's browser session.
