Administrator script execution via unescaped sre parameter
Published Jul 30, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Reflected XSS in Send Email Only on Reply to My Comment 1.0.6 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's browser. The administrative options page writes the sre query parameter into its response without sanitization or output escaping. Exploitation requires a high-privilege user such as an administrator to open a crafted URL, after which the injected script runs in that user's browser context.
