Browser script execution via unneutralized id output
Published Jun 21, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Cross-site scripting in SourceCodester Simple Student Attendance System 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute script through the id parameter. student_form.php accepts id without validation, passes it to get_student in actions.class.php, and places the resulting content into the page without neutralizing script-capable markup. A victim must open the crafted response for the script to run in the application origin, enabling unauthorized page actions and access to browser-visible data.
