SAML authentication bypass in HaloITSM allows remote attackers to impersonate arbitrary users via crafted SAML assertions. The SAML integration accepts an XML signature-wrapping assertion, causing signature validation and identity processing to act on different XML elements. A configured SAML integration and knowledge of a target user's email address are sufficient; no prior account or user interaction is required.
