Authenticated script execution via reflected sample identifiers
Published Jun 20, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Cross-site scripting in LabVantage LIMS 2017 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser. The LV_ViewSampleSpec endpoint reflects crafted sdcid or keyid1 parameter content into its response without neutralizing executable markup. A low-privileged account and user interaction are required; successful exploitation can alter content within the victim's browser session.
