Unauthenticated PHP execution via traversed template path
Published Jul 18, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Local file inclusion in YMC Filter before 2.8.33 allows remote attackers to execute server-side PHP through the post_layout parameter. The request handler uses the attacker-controlled post_layout value as a template path without confining resolution to the intended directory. No authentication is required, but code execution requires an includable PHP file already present on the WordPress server.
